I have an 05 sentra 1.8s i am getting some new wheels, (not the Stock hubcaps anymore!!!) and the wheels have red trim so i was wondering if i could paint the baraks (like you see on some other tuner cars), i wanted to know what paint i should use and if it would be easy to do, i think i need to use the Duplicolor engine enamel but im not sure...any suggestions.

its gotta get paint that is ment to withstand high heat. like engine paint. but yes painting brake calipers is a very easy thing to do and a nice touch if you have rims.

Take a look at this site.http://www.por15.com/

They have a caliper painting kit. I've had fantastic results with their products on a 67 Lincoln I'm restoring. The paint is a bit pricey but it performs exactly as advertised.

At first i thought you wanted to paint the actual discs. I have seen them do that with cars for car shows but it looks kind of dangerous. So I was worried. But it's ok now just the calipers....

i did that with my stock discs because they got so discolored. not the part where the pad touches, just the part that gets rusty around the hub. it's fine.

do not paint the brake line, the rubber covers by the slide bolts. Do not paint the slide bolts, nore the metal clips that hold the pads in place.
