i cant decide whether to paint my hatch white or black. ive heard black is very hard to paint and shows every imperfection. i really don't want to see bad bondo spots. would white show as much waviness? thanks

Black top/white body is ugly-my opinion.

White is harder to paint but yields a greater result in my opinion

Whites not hard to spray if you seal it right. but yes black will show more and white hides it alot better

if your confident with your body work paint it black. I painted my car black and did okay?decent bodywork and it turned like s***. If your going to paint it black better try to perfect your cars body otherwise paint it white.

Just because it feel smooth doesn't mean that it is, especially when it's your first time using bondo, I vote white.

Just get a good body guy to do the bondo work, If he really good you cant see the waviness of where the bondo is. Just take your time. I know alot of us want everything NOW lol but take your time. Do the body work. Save up for more then get your self a good paint job I did the mistake of getting it with some guy that really was cheap but man did he suck. You could see the waviness and some spots were dull..Hated that. So i saved up got my car repainted and walaaaaa Hope i helped

thats only me though, if you have some good cash go for it.

well you have a few options:

1- buy some primer/flat black paint, and body work accordingly

2- do all the prep work to have it ready for paint, then send it off to macco. they actually do great paint jobs if you do all the prep work

3- or just pay one of your buddies that does paint/body

either way take your time. make sure you tape off all windows and any areas exposed that might get paint. try not no over use the bondo. it can get messy and clean up is a b*tch.

white, I got a white coupe. not sure how people say that black hides dirt better. I never notice dirt I can see dirt better on a black car. lol but IMO black on a car should only be a deep shiny gloss nothing else. screw flat black or satin, F*CK SATIN, YOUR car is NOT a woman's dress!

Black if you enjoy washing your car every week and polishing it several times a year to keep the swirl marks away. Black cars are the worst

white is the hardest color to spray, only because and shadows make it look like you didn't spray enough there and next thing you know, you have an uneven coat.

black is definitely not a poor man's car color. my car is black and every rock chip, scratch, mark etc is very very noticeable. not to talk about dirt.
