Painting black molding strips on roof of Sentra?

Has anybody painted the black molding strips above the windows on both sides of the roof on a Sentra? I think it would look better than being black.

Does anybody have experience doing this? Do you have pics to show?

Not a great idea... They're a pretty soft rubber, so you'd have to use a paint with high flexibility (and it'd probably still flake).

They pop off pretty easily, I removed the ones on my Cube when we did the vinyl wrap.
