Ok, so I have Kosei Silver Painted Wheels on the way...

When I get them, should I wax them or anything in particular before I put them on ?

Silly question I know but hey... I've never bought wheels before...

The best thing you can do is wax the wheels inside and out before you put them on with a good quality automotive wax. We also have a wax formulated just for wheels on our website (it smells yummy so keep it away from little children). You want to treat the wheels just like the painted finish on your car. Do not use any wheel cleaners on them even if it says it's safe for clear coat and painted wheels. The vast majority of cleaners are acid based and will haze the finish. If you're not sure what's in it, look at the instructions. If it says spray on and be sure to rinse off within 60 seconds, you can bet it's acid based and will dull your wheels with repeated use. We advise staying away from comercial car washes as well. They use very harsh wheel cleaners that can damage your wheels and are also hard on many rubber compounds. Stick with a standard dishwashing soap and slightly warm water. Never wash your wheels when they are hot. Wait till the brakes and wheels cool off.
