So since having the S30 I've wanted to paint the centers black, instead of keeping polished. I ended up getting the lips polished and then started the tedious task taping off the wheels to paint them. After that was all said and done went ahead and started detailing the interior, cleaned it and shined it up. Jerry stopped by with the Z32 and we worked on getting a spot of spilled paint of the rear trunk hatch on the S30. After a lot of elbow grease and paint cleaner we were able to get it off. Everything turned out amazing and the S30 looks 100x better then when I bought it. Anywho heres some pics of the progress.

Wheel and grille off. Prepping them both by sanding them down and spraying them with some brake clean...

Respraying the grille black

Brother (NSRhatch) spraying the first wheel with gloss black.

First coat, letting it dry

After the second coat of drying..all done

Before and after

Passenger side done

Got rid of the stupid blue wire loom, cleaned up the engine bay and polished the valve cover

Z Cars

Sexy

Nissan's everywhere

Needs exhaust...MSA soon enough

s30 looks like a rally car sitting soo high

Interior all cleaned up

Vaccuumed rear carpet

SOOO HOT

Anywho it was a very productive day with the s30, needs a couple more things done before the car show this weekend.

I didn't think of the back panel..that'd probably look really good with the black theme I want to go with. The side "Z" emblems I took off so I could repaint them. Other then those, I just want to get a Fairlady badge for the rear.

dang thats some vintage rubber, those were great tires in the day but they have been out of production for 4 or 5 years so I'm guessing they aren't very grippy anymore, abnd dang 9.5 wide!!!!! I'm pretty sure thats gonna hit the body or the strut depending on the offset, might be a nice fot on a 84-85 Z31 n/a

I acquired this set of Epsilon from Okinawa, Japan. The Front has 3.5 inch back spacing. Rear has Zero offset and does not rub the stock suspension of the S30. they do stick out 1.5 inch out of the stock fender and that where you need to get fender flares to run them legally on the street.

The Yoko AVS-1 tires are Discontinued and HARD to find nowadays. Tires are good have been in wraped in Black trash bags and kept in cold Storage. I only take put them on on special occasions and use my other set of street tires for normal days.

Between Epsilon and Watanabe. Epsilons are harder to find.

Thanks, as of now I've got ridden of the stupid wire loom in the engine bay, added a Mr Gasket Fuel Pressure Regulator, bypassed the heater core, and looped the coolant line, cleaned it and cleaned it. The paint was soo faded when I got it, so I and NSRZ32 spent a good coupe of days buffing it and cleaning the inside and outside. I reconditioned the side Z emblems and replaced the RR taillight that was broke when I got the car. Other then painting the wheels thats been it. Nothing really major but stuff the had to be done. Come spring it should be getting a bunch of goodies.
