Your Pathfinder looks great. I have always like those wheels. The color is really really good. I recently took off my spare and painted it with Rustoleum Hammered Gray, similar to the color. I didnt know there was shelf spary paint that would hold up on aluminum wheels. Any chipping or peeling? I have a set of Konig NRN 17x8's that are pitted and could not find a powdercoater to paint them for less than $80 a wheel (and that was only 1 color). I wonder if I could salvage these wheels with that charcoal paint. Can you provide more details on sanding/prep etc? Love the dog too.

Great Idea! I don't think it would look as cool with the '96 stockies.

Just sand, prime, paint, and clear... Like with any other paint project. If you take your time and do it right, you won't get any bubbling, pealing. I've had not problems with the finish, but I haven't been offroading either. I'd imagine it'd be a little less tough than the stock finish but I've had the rims on my car (which I painted exactly the same) for about 4 years now and it's held up very well.
