Has anyone painted the stock 2009 Altima coupe 3.5 wheels? i originally wanted to get 20's, but i just had a thought of just keeping the stock 18" wheels, and painting them like a gunmetal or black color... has anyone done this? i think i've seen some 08 wheels painted but not sure of the 09 wheels. if there are 09 painted wheels, does anyone have any pics for me to check out? i'd greatly appreciate it... thanks... =)

Like you said I don't recall anyone having posted their painted 09 wheels... but a fair amount of 08's though! Don't know enough about photoshop to help you with the colors... Good luck and post results!

ok, so here's my lil photoshop job at painted 09 a/c 3.5 wheels on a precision gray coupe...

i don't think i'd want black, it just looked a lil weird for my color car... so i'm thinking like a dark gray or something like that...

BEFORE

AFTER

what do you guys think?

post that same picture without the photoshop so I can compare. I think the rims look great painted. But like you said, I dont think you'd want to go with black on a grey coupe.

I think I like the before shot a little better than after. The after is a bit too dark for my liking.

The wheels would look real good painted. My vote is for gunmetal though.

yea, i wasn't quite sure how to get the gunmetal color... but if one of the photoshop gods or someone wants to chime in and do it in gunmetal, that would be pretty sweet... =)

The pic you posted looks like it's gunmetal. I think Black wouldn't make the wheels curves catch the eye.

If you do paint the wheels you could also paint the calipers while waiting for the wheels to dry... Just a thought .

Thanks, they are nice, there are places that re-finish them. so you don't have to buy new ones. All wheels are delicate and will curb easily.

My next project is getting mine done in Gunmetal!

the g37's look kick@$$ in gloss black.

i'm liking the gunmetal 09's though expecially with your dark tints.
