PAINTED MY Z RIMS BLACK TODAY!!!!

dont know if anyone has done this yet but im in my friends shop fixing my head and tail lights (the paint i used to black them out started chipping so we did it right sanding them painting them with car paint and clear coat) and then we start refinishing one of my rims that i curbed a few days ago and have they paint left over and i kinda think about it for a second and we spray a rim...looked great so we did all four. sand down bondo the scratches and refinish black.. it took us from 3 till 10 pm so i dont have very good pics now but i will have some better ones ill post tomorrow.

first two donestopped at sonic on the way homebest lighting i could get at my house

A little too glossy for my taste but it looks real good.

Did you mean you painted the headlights with paint you use to paint a car, or car paint as in paint made for headlights / taillights of cars ???

like used to paint a car. but they turned out great. the same paint was used on the rims as on the head and tails. and they all turned out terrific. were doin my hid kit today (off topic) its raining pretty hard right now or id have more pics up of the rims in the day time.

That's cool though, is there any light that shows through the paint on the heads ??? Or did you just do it real lightly so there would be light

i did the heads to where it only covers the top part of the headlight and runs with the lines on the inside so the bottom is clear and the top shows a small amount of light. and the back also shows a small amount with my reverse lights clear

Ya I know it only covers the top but I was wondering if since it's not meant to be transparent paint, if your turn signals still showed through. I painted my heads and tails the same way you did, but my headlights weren't bright enough so I had to get some other turn signals

so how about the konig troubles i told my gf i wanted like 6 months ago she got for me...she said she has been payin them off since may and now im getting rid of my z rims so i can get tires for the konigs and mount em.... not sure if im happy or sad since i like the troubles but i love my new custom z rims.

use the troubles in the summer n the z's in the winter....troubles are really hot though

thats what i wanted to do at first but i really doubt id ever put the z rims back onso i put them on CL for 1000 obo and goa couple offers but havnt sold em yet.and about lowering it, i have had the pro kit since june but havnt found a place to lower it for a reasonable price (below 400) so im waiting till im home long enough to rent spring compressors and do it myself. (i travel all over the country for work so im only home 4 or 5 days a month and thats usually one or two days at a time)
