hey i just painted it...

havent got it in... broke a bolt taking the old one off.

haha, I have one that looks just like that sitting in my garage...someone who had it must have painted it that color before me

i was going to take my valve cover off and paint it but my dad said that i would need another gasket to put it back on with..how much would one of those gasket be?

i got my new gasket from pepboys-24.95

i bought it jsut to be safe, but the old one was just fine... but i still got rid of it and have the new one sitting in the box...

Yeah the KA uses a rubber gasket set (2 peice). You will need a new one sooner or later, as they all harden. Mine started to harden and I noticed it durring the last time I swapped cams so I got a new one.

After that you can take the thing on and off for quite a while, just as long as you dont forget to rtv the lobes upon reinstall of course

The tech / employee price is about 19$ from a nissan dealership, or like 35 over the counter

One time they said the belts went up to like 40 or 50 dollars and I was like WTF, as I forgot that it was the price with the nearly 100% markup...

i like painted valve covers, but i like polished valve covers even more.

i used ford blue engine paint from pep boys

there is like 2 coast of primer... some like 5 coats of paint and like a whole lotta coast of clear (almost a full can) it doesnt look that good cause i didnt sand in between coats. yeah im lazy

i think im gonna have my car painted that color... i realy like it.. not too dark/not too light of a blue...

oh and to get the letters like that i just sanded them down with like 80 grit then with like 120 or soemthing cause i didnt want the polish look, just the raw alum. look

hmm...looks a LOT like mine that I did 3 months ago...Mine's a shade lighter I guess. I love blue! Looks nice though!
