Painted my rear diffuser :)

I never really understood why the 2010+ coupes had a color-matched diffuser, so I finally decided to paint mine black!

Not a huge change, but I really think it makes a difference!

Did you DIY? If so what did you use? Cause I tried plastidip and it came out crooked:/

Yep I did it myself with Plasti dip! How did it come out crooked? I just used blue painters tape and newspaper to mask it off. I sprayed it and let it dry before removing the tape, rather than removing it wet like most do. I just cut through the Plasti dip with a razor blade before removing the tape

Looks good! I still wonder why they decided to body color match the rear diffuser. They should have made it an "add-on" accessory or something.


@aphu......how did you mask off the area? Seems like it should be pretty to easy to tape off the area around the diffuser.

I tried to tape it off along the part where it dips down( like the edge i guess) and took off the tape and it just came out crooked. Should I tape above that part?? And use a razor also??

Did you let the Plasti dip dry completely or at all? The problem is that it forms that very strong polymer and tends to rip at the tape line. You have to pull the tape while it's still wet.
