so i've seen it on some cars and i'm not exactly sure what i think about parts of the interior being painted. like the center consol, the interior door panels, and the glove box. how do you paint the handle panel on the door and the glove box? it's clothe on all 240's isnt it? also I'm thinking you would have the match the color exactly with your cars paint to make it look nice. so what does everyone think about this idea? is it tacky or cool? and could i paint it a certaint color before i get my car painted?

I did it a long time ago, and it actually looked pretty good. But I started to hate it so I had to go back and re buy all the pieces I had painted. I would suggest leaving it unless it looks that bad, or buy a kit.Josh

I painted my s13's interior once... back in my ricer days.

Now that I know, I look back and ask "WTF was I thinking?!"

oh, common! Just Do It!

If it is done correctly, and tastefully it can look better then what you have. You obviously don't like what you currently have so why not just do it?

All you have to be sure of is using the correct materials and PAINT is not one of them. If you take your time and do it right it can look like it came out of the factory with the new colors.

DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! TASTEFULLY!

Yeah.. don't do it!

Wickie's actually looks real nice, but even he says he regrets it.

I have done the carbon fiber kits in other cars.. that always looks good.

Because its just a cheap plastic inferior interior.

If you want the inside to look nice, go and actually get the pieces re-made entirely of the material that suits you, not just some cheap crap.

I always wanted a brushed aluminum look for the inside of my S13 and i never bought on to the fads because I knew imitations will not impress.

I had extra car paint (metalic charcoal gray base & clear) so I told my friend that painted my car to paint my center console and ash tray. It definately looks way better than it was when it was scratched up. Yes it was done tastefully.

I know my center console and trim piece around the radio and shifter looks like utter crap. gonna be painting it black again, I think semi-flat, not sure yet. Never was a fan of painting interior pieces a color, but to each his own.
