I know there are old threads on baking and painting headlights. I myself don't have the nerve to do it. Has this trend fell off? Have any of you completed this project recently?

No. Custom lights are on my list to do at some point. Not in a rush.

I did my 240s park lights the other day haven't got around to the headlights.

I used the cardboard box and hairdryer trick with a towel draped over the top of box, it worked well . I was a bit skeptical about putting them in the oven in case they touched anything metal and getting big grill marks in them. :ohno:
I found out pretty quickly that if it doesn't come off easy its not hot enough.

Didn't turn out to bad, they had small stone chips on them anyway so the stress factor wasn't very high

Thanks for all the input guys. I've known about clearcorners.com for awhile now. The is who really wants to come off $3000 for headlights. They look awesome, but at that price I would rather drop it towards a turbo or a few other mods.

You can always just look into changing out your headlights to the sport model ones. I'm currently selling one on ebay if your interested. if your just looking to paint them black like the sport anyways. Might as well go with the sport headlights then turn around and sell yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/230881327885?ss ... 1558.l2649

at that price I rather get them custom painted with custom led's (the way I want them for less)
