Continuing with the black n blue theme, I had to get rid of the grey grille but wasn't completely sold on the c-mod (although alot of folks have it and it looks great) so I decided to paint the grille black and do the engine cover in Blue.......

+1 on both accounts...still looks great though, big improvement from that drab grey.

Question for you...did you have to remove the bumber to get the grill out? Grill is my next mod...to I just need to pop out the clips and then push the little tabs behind it?

Thanks! My friends think I have a sickness when it comes to modding my car! But springtime has arrived early in the Northwest, which has allowed my creative juices to run like crazy!

I wanted to paint the moustache but my bodyshop guy said painting the chrome wouldn't last very long, one rock hit and it would start to chip. I've got a 3M protection film on the front of the car, but you can't apply that stuff till a month after you paint, and there's no way the car can sit in the garage for a month, waiting to apply that film to that little area.....I can live with the moustache for now

I still vote for the vinyl mustache overlays, they hold up really well. Or just have the two chrome pieces painted and don't put them back on the grill until they're a month old.

Very nice, grill looks like mine after I painted mine. I sprayed my grill black and while it was still wet I took some blue metallic spray paint and went over it twice to give it an overlay look. I like yours, good job. I'm still debating on my mustache because I want the chrome gone.

I have a friend who has a bodyshop, so my grill and cover were done professionally. However, through a search I found this in the how-to section.......hope this helps!

As far as removing the grille, I can't answer that.....plenty of people have removed theirs to replace with something else, so I'm sure someone on the forum can answer that question!
