Repainted my calipers today, added a bit of "NISSAN" to em ... and painted the drums. Looks so much better than rust :D

I will post day shots when the car is clean and it's not raining.

I also added a clear coat to each caliper and drum.

looks great! I did the same to the Z I used to have, but black with silver decals, easy to do and really dresses up your wheels, I used the G2 caliper kit worked real well, here is a pic of the ones I did.Image

Very nice!
it does dress the caliper up nicely!

Next week we'll probably paint the calipers on the SE-R ... There are four of them :(

I did about 3 heavy coats of the black, I don't think rust would get them, what did you use the 1st time, looks like it faded quite a bit too.

I had never painted my drums before.
I used the same dupli-color last time but never did a clear coat. This time I did two more heavy coats on the calipers, and a clear coat. Then after I added the decals, I sprayed another clear coat on top of that.

I painted the drums with at least 3 coats each, plus a clear coat.
My calipers see the snow/salt because I have rims for my winter tires and not just black steelies.

I meant the before pic of your caliper looked faded, the G2 kit came out very glossy with no clearcoat, like your after pic with clearcoat. but here in Florida we don't drive through snow/salt.

Ya my calipers were faded from last year. I think because I never added a clear coat and the salt/snow just ate away at it ...

Hopefully with the clear it will last through the winter. I think maybe before I put my winter wheels on I'll spray another clear coat over it for added protection.

The Dupli-color kit comes out glossy without a clear coat, I mostly put it as an added layer of protection, lol.
