Sanding probably would have made it smoother. Paint would have laid down better. Haven't got mine painted or anything yet. I will def post photos when I do.

So far I have only did a test fit of the grille and put it back in the box.

If the color is off than you really can't tell in the picture. If it's off in person and it bothers you than get your paint here and repaint it. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ Personally I painted my chrome mustache and the red I used doesn't exactly match my exterior either, but I felt that the little off red looks 20x better than the dang chrome.

Off subject; what does "smh" mean. There were three post in a row with it , and I can't think of what in the world it could mean.

1) Automotivetouchup.com
2) Prime
3) Wetsand with at least 1000 grit
4) Paint
5) WAIT at least a day
6) Clear coat

If you did not prime and clear coat, that paint is going to start chipping off very quickly with road debris.

i tried sanding much as i could from the first time i painted it them i did prime coat than paint and clear but you can see the old paint from the first time almost like bubbles it w.e its my fault i gotta deal with it i went to this guy ik at the body shop he said its gunna be hard to strip all the paint on the grille than repaint it im lookin at 300 or he said buy a new grille which it 150 plus shipping 200 than paint it 150 dude its just way to much money just for a grille that why i wanted to paint it myself and save money but i was careless and didnt do research on how to paint it properly so now im just sucking it up but if i fed up with the grille ima paint the stock grille a flat black and the crome plastic pieces the color of my car and throw it on

Goof Off will take it completely off, primer and all.
I painted a few chrome pieces on my AC when I had it. Of those I painted a few more than once through trial and error. Goof Off will take it right down to the original material, just be careful with it.
