With the help of my friend Mike, we painted the calipers red on the coupe today, woo hoo, pics: Just did the quick newspaper tape up and a spray. Turned out awesome! Best 15 bucks I ever spent (VHT Caliper Paint from Cnd Tire).

I know you're really supposed to take off the calipers and take the pads out yada yada but I was lazy and the pads will be changed soon anyways.

If you are wondering:

Prep work: Brake cleaner, paper towel, air compressor (to dry them and blow off dust).Coats of paint: 3.Time to dry: 10 mins with a heat gun/heater lol.

I especially like the middle 'ingredient' in the first pic. I think that is key.

Looks good!

It tastes so bad.. lol Ugh I dunno. I'd rather drink Fireball Whiskey mixed with orange pop before drinking Keith's to tell you the truth.. although after a few the taste goes away haha.

Yeah I was wondering about that... lol I hope you don't mean rotors... because that isn't going to work too well.

Actually you can paint the rotor hats just not the part that comes in contact with the brake pads.

Im actually getting my rotor hats and probably the calipers painted this weekend. The rust on my rotor hats is really startin to get on my nerves.

I painted my rotor hats due to all the rust. I used rustoleum, but i plan on going back some time soon and doing a better job with some high temp paint.

Yeah I know lol!! 18s or 19s soon!! maybe 2-3 weeks. I cant stand it anymore either. :D Handles like a dream. If you saw the roads around here you would see why though... there's more pot holes and patches then regular road...

Go with the 18's! Tires for the 19's are ridiculously expensive, and 19 or 20" rims do NOT like potholes and bad roads. I'm keeping my stock 18" rims here for that very reason.
