painted 2.5 engine cover

Ok, so i got bored at college and NEEDED to do something to my car sooooo i know my engine is dirty as hell i don't know why it is but w/e i guess s***ty PA roads do that to ya. But here's my engine cover painted red with a white Nissan emblem........crappy cell pics but I'm at my gf's and don't have my camera........

it actually looks pretty kol w/out one i was tempted to just take it off but i liked the red better.....goes well with my blacked out theme.......and red on the inside

Looks good, I think it would look better with those four oval things black but they are a b**** to tape off.Maybe paint your positive terminal cover that same red ???

I was thinking the samething; it looks great I painted my 3.5 valve cover red too, but I think it would have looked better if the ovals were kept black too.

looks good you should see my cover. since no one sees it i went jason pollock on it kinda crazy looking ill see if i can get some pictures up later

this was my first plan but i was gonna make them white like the emblem......It is horrible to tape off damn near impossible bc of the layout of it........i tried and failed miserably......this is the finished result after sanding, painting, then waiting to dry, re sanded then repainted and clear

hahaha ya it took me forever to mask them off, I have mine painted blue w/ the nissan emblem blue and the rest black.

The taping didn't go so well but it looks alright, not too noticeable
