Yes, i searched, and didn't find anything useful.

My 91 Black fastback has ratty paint on the front end. In between imperfections the paint is actually quite nice and the clearcoat is in decent condition (except on the bumper), however the bumper is faded badly and it looks as though the previous owner never cleaned any bird poop off the car, so there's poop splotches/stains on the paint (clearcoat?). My question to you guys: is there any way short of repainting the hood and bumper to restore the shine to the bumper and remove the splotching from the hood? Any reccomended products or procedures? Thanks for your time.

no, you can't. you can not re-spray cc. You have to sand it off then repaint

If you're really thinking of repainting your hood, just because of the paint, you might as well go with a carbon fiber replacement. You can get one for $400 bucks, shed some pounds, and avoid paying $100+ for the paint (and unless you've painted a car before, you should REALLY get it professionally done, otherwise it's gonna look really sketchy). Also, repainted stuff never looks the same. It'll always look a bit off.

Yup, CF hood & black aftermarket front bumper are the way to go, hehe. Even the places that do "color" matching will not get it 100% correct.

You can get a used cf hood or oem style one for around 300 if you look hard enough and find local.

Or you can get a nissan factory "bra" for the front bumper. *cough* I have one for sale *cough*.

O yea, you can "try" the sticky in this forum section about detailing your car. May help a lil.
