Weeellll... its that time... ive finished all the first stage of goals for my cars... my 15x7 0 offset meshies are in the mail, black with polished lip baby :-p I got the silvia aero K's conversion on her, kouki taillight conversion should be in today and shes now primered a nice primer dark gray/black. Got full 2.5" exhaust. Now...

Should I paint it? This would include me fixing the crack in the windshield. I was prolly gonna go with black.

Should I do suspension? If I go suspension, I would want it nice, not halfway ya know... Probably a nice set of coilovers, sways, STBs, tension rods, etc. Also, LSD?

Or should I get more power? Options here are of course KA24E-T, SOHC style, or SR20 or CA18.... I dont know about this, because I like drifting alot in parking lots and would like to get heavily into it, and I want to start Auto X and Road racing alot as well. Thing is... I hate it when POS mustangs blow me at red lights... I know its immature, but its something all of you even know what Im talking about. I wanna show em imports can go fast straight too.

Anyways, I guess this is really a matter of show vs 1/4 mile go vs track go.... I wanna know how you all reasoned out your selections... Also, dont mention the fact that I spent all that money on Ks Silvia conversion, Koukis, and nice wheels... I wanted them really bad, and there was no changing my mind. Now, I just dont know how I will enjoy my 240 the most.

suspension. what do you want to use the car for? 1/4 mile / show / roadrace car probably isnt going to work out for you.

I know... and honestly I dont know... I dont want to be a Show car, dont understand it that ways, but a nice paintjob with a clean interior is always good for picking up the ladies...

And honestly... I dont know if I want drift/road/ 1/4 mile... its alabama so theres little for drifting except in Atlanta, but I am a bit of a parking lot warrior. Im wanting some peoples opinions on what they enjoy there car for ya know, kinda see why people mod the way they mod so I can be 100% happy with my car.

suspension without a doubt. thats all i pretty much have on my car and it is the most fun car ive ever ridden in. you can only do so much with just alot of horsepower. suspension is what really makes the car. i auto-x my car on a regular basis and compete very well with my setup. all i have for performance is an ebay short ram, 2.5'' test pipe, megan exhaust, and a custom dual electric fan conversion. i didnt add any of these until i was done with the suspension and im glad i went the order i did. you can use a nice suspension setup for whatever you want to do.

I agree, suspension is the way to go. Plus it will serve 2 purposes: it will make your car handle significantly better, and it will make your car look alot better. You've already got the nice wheels and silvia front end, so a solid drop will make the exterior of your car look great. Not to mention how much more fun it will be to drive your car since it will handle so much better.

suspension is what id do but sinc eyou have koukis taillights coming in and with the mesh/aero bumper you must as well paint it. itll look tough. maybe if you can some how pull coilovers/paint job. and save up for an lsd later on + the rest.

power is not really necessary to me. its nice to have but legal issues, especially with turbo the oil gets pretty hot. and since the stock motor is fine unless you road race or need speed for some reason.

So it looks by the popular opinion, that Ill have to control my egotistical urges on the streets, in order to fully enjoy my car on saturdays, hehe.

Also, if there is anybody out there who thinks power is the way to go, I would like to hear their side. Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Atlanta isn't in Alabama

Do you realize what getting into "road racing" entails? A lot more than slapping together a suspension.

I say paint your car so its not ugly and primered, then get some suspension stuff. Try autoX and drift events. You won't learn much just drifting randomly in a parking lot because there are no lines to follow. AFter that either boost your KA or do a swap if you find a good deal. Boosting your KA will probably be cheaper as long as you don't mess it up.

power

my 240 looks almost stock except for the huge angled tip and i love the expressions when mustangs and camero's drive by and then i downshift and all they hear is turbo spooling or me blowing off in their ear.

priceless

trust me i argued on all the same things as u and now i dont regret it. ya my car is way to high but its fast and thats what i care about

bone stock cars with an sr20 make me want to throw up, its such a joke. YARHHHHHRRRR i got 180 to the wheels and stock brakes and blown suspension, woohooooo! ITS A SLEEPER.

id say if you arent serious about the car then ka-t might be the best route for you. it dosent cost a ton and it will be fun to street race or whatever. but if you actually want to do somthing with the car, get the suspension first.

Trust me, I wish there was a place I could go every weekend and Auto X and Drift, but like I said, Im in alabama, home of mustangs and camaros and straight line kids.
