Hello everyone, I'm going to start by saying this is my first time posting on this forum so hopefully I don't mess anything up :gapteeth:
Im currently looking at z32s to buy and I'm having a difficult time finding any for sale under a reasonable price in my area (West Michigan). There are plenty of TTs for sale, but unfortunately I can only afford an NA, but I'm perfectly okay with that. :gotme
So I finally found an affordable one in my area and it has a few problems which are easy fixes but it has one big problem. The previous owner painted on big grey racing stripes  . I am of course going to have to remove these. I am just wondering if I should just try and paint over the stripes with black paint or my other option (since I'm pretty low on money for the time being) would be to just plastidip the whole car white (my favorite z color). I'm not too sure how good white plastidip looks on z32s so I'm just asking for some opinions on whether I should plastidip it white or just try to paint over the racing stripes. Thanks everyone for taking time to read and respond :)

Welcome!
Your pics did not load unfortunately, you need to use a service such as photobucket or the like to upload your images for storage to then paste the URL of into your post.
As for your issue, it all comes down to how good you want things to look, and for how long. Short term fixes usually look the part, and last poorly to then re-bare the issue and force another bandaid, or more, while doing things right usually has far better results, and which last.
I personally would not take on a Z needing paint if I was not intending to have it repainted, and the price also reflected that. Compounding bad paint and mechanical issues and possible/probable maintenance lapses is a project car of the highest order and would hopefully cost around $1.5K or less, with the paint as the lowest priority (and cost) on the need list.

Thanks for the response! Agh paint is such a hassle! Especially when these cars are hard to find. Anyways, I appreciate the response and hopefully I can find something else.
