Hey I know this might seem a little stupid, but when I bought this 99.5 Qx4 the ONLY thing wrong with it was the paint chipping away from the driver running boards. HELP what I can do to stop this from happening! I don’t hit the running boards as I get into the car and I have never scraped the car against anything yet it seems to be getting worse!

Check it out and let me know what you think the problem is and maybe a way to fix it? [IMG][/IMG]

Also about the front/rear windshield wipers. They are starting to peel (the black paint). Can I just spray paint them black or not?

the wipers chipping are just normal wear and tear, remember when you paint them sand them with a lighter grade sand paper and u can use rustoleom black paint or what ever you fancy. the running boards might of been painted from some wear else besides dealership, you can probably get those repainted for about 300 dollars both at the dealership.

I've used Krylon in the past on my other cars when the wiper blades begin to fade. . just take them off of the vehicle (very easy -- pop off the plastic cap, then unbolt them).

I concur with the running boards. . we had a crappy paint job on the bumper on our old Stanza, and it just began flaking off. I believe the paint needs some flex additive or something for the plastic parts.
