Paint issue 99.5 Qx4 - Take a look and tell me what you think I should do!

When I bought my 99.5 Qx4 the driver side running board had something pretty wrong with it. I have no idea how it happened but the paint has chipped off. This is a weird problem and I was wondering if other Qx4 owners have noticed any other problems that look like the picture below. It looks like there is not any actual damage to the running board (no scrapes or dents). The passenger side is doing it a little but nothing like the driver side. I have looked around on the internet and I think I am going to buy the paint from http://www.paintscratch.com they seem to know what they are doing. Has anyone used this product? Or does anyone have any idea what the heck happened to my baby!

Mine is the same way. I have debated stripping the paint off competely and having all black. My 1991 Chevy Corsica had peeling paint when I bought it. I took a high pressure washer and blasted all of the loose paint from the hood, roof and truck. It looked a lot better than the flaking paint did.

The really weird thing about mine is that the paint is not actually peeling. Like i cant even scratch it off with my finger nail. its like it just comes off by itself
