Paint Flaws...

....any body got them? I've already got a tiny chip in my hood and I haven't had this car for less than three months. The last Nissan I had, my Xterra of 8.5 years...had maaaaasssive paint ish. I think it literally fell off a truck since the paint flaked like a Chrysler product circa 1996...rusted front fenders, the hood chipped off on it and the liftgate. Should I be upset about this? Talk to the dealer? I've got less than 3k and I want to be ubercautious with this car...anybody else have this issue and did their dealer take care of it or did they just serve you with offering to sell yoou the damn bra?

Well if you ever drive your car, you will get hit by rocks, sand and anything else outside. I have little scratches on my hood from my HW driving to school. Dont be worried unless the paint really flakes off.

Yeah I can see bare metal...the issue here is that the last time this happened it was literally over the time period for the paint warranty and they wanted to jack me up for a repair to the tune of like $3k...made me skeptical of Nissan's paint work...we bought two versas and it looks like other one has this same issue on the bumper and my fiancee drives it way less...I guess I'll monitor it, maybe mention it without getting heated, see what they advise, and get the bra for now...for both.

You wont be covered under warranty for stone chips,Ill will tell you that,If the paint is peeling off for some reason it would be covered.If you want to avoid chips from stones or a scratch,You leave the car in your lane way or garage as a show car Period ! Dont drive it.

Yeah, I've had quite a few on the front bumper. Especially on the Stillen lip since I put that on. There's so little clearance that nothing seems to miss it and go under the car. Nothing terrible, though, and nothing a little bit of touch-up paint won't take care of. The worst thing for me is not the little rocks that come flying up at my car, it's all the big trucks that drop stuff all over the road whenever I am directly behind them and can't get over to pass them. The waste industries trucks are by far the worse.
