paint experts..I need your help

I painted my calipers with 4 coats, 3 hours between each interval to let it dry up, and left it over night for it to dry up and nice. It's dried up but somehow it feels all weird; feels all soft and stuff like a plastic toy or something. I used High Temp Engine paint by Dupli-color(1200 degree). I did prep it and all. I was just wondering before I apply the clear coat. Thanks much

depending on how thick your coats were it can take a good 48-72hrs to fully dry, i havent used teh duplicolor paint yet but soem paint dont dry very hard.
