Hey guys, this has bugged me a lil since i got my a/c. I have the satin white 3.5 coupe and it looks like the side skirts are slightly darker than the rest of the car. Does anyone else have this issue? And is there anything i can do about it (aside from purchaing new skirts/body kit), or do i have to just live with it?

thanks.

The way that paint shows up on different materials(ie: urathane vs metal) makes the shade look a little off sometimes. In certain light, mine look different but when you look at them both dead on, they match. My rear corners, however, match my car but not my rear bumper. When I got them painted, I realized that my rear bumper was shades darker than the rest of my car strait from the factory. so now my rear corners look like they are way too light.

Here........ you can see the difference with the rears. And in this pic, my skirts look off but they are right. Its just weird the way the light makes this paint change.(notice that the middle of the skirt matches fine but the top looks off because of the light.) You can also see the diff in rear bumper color from the rest of the car, and none of that has been repainted

yea, i get what you're saying about the different materials. However, when you look at my side skirt and rest of the car dead on...its obvious that the skirts don't perfectly match. I'm referring to the stock side skirt, not aftermarket. Does anyone else have this issue with their stock sideskirts?

oh sorry i misunderstood. But i think it still applies. My body shop told me that the material is the issue. The whole car is metal, except for the side skirts and front and rear bumpers, so the problem I have with my rear bumper being off color is probably the reason that your skirts are off.

Edit: My body shop also suggested that a lot of times all of the parts of the car are not manufactured/painted in the same factory. so that could explain the paint variance.
