Also,
I noticed too that the touch up kit was lighter than the Rogue's paint color.

2014 Rogue SL w/Premium pkg, Brilliant Silver paint and yes, sorry to say that I've noticed a few paint chips on the hood.

Sad that it only has about 5,500 miles or so on it and is over a year old. I don't drive off-road or down gravel roads. I counted about 3 chips, one of which was larger than the others. It may be time to invest in a touch up kit :frown:

Here in Phoenix we don't get a lot of rain, so small stones, grit and pebbles don't get washed off the road. This increases the chance of paint and/or windshield chips vs other areas of the country. I've heard that Texas has drought conditions in some areas and if you live in one of them, that could explain the chips you're seeing.

I am having paint chip issues as well. I have owned and driven my own car for over 25 years, and there are less paint chips on my 2003 then there are on my 10 month old Nissan Rogue. There are about 15 paint chips in the hood, and Nissan is stating there is nothing they will do about them, as they appear to be from "nature" rocks hitting the hood...How can a 10 month old car have more paint chips from "rocks Hitting the hood" then my 14 year old car? Nissan is refusing to offer any coverage. I will have to use touch up paint, to protect my vehicle through the winter, but this is ridiculous to find this much damage on my new car. So disappointed in Nissan. First and Last Nissan I will ever purchase, and I was hoping to pass this car down to my daughter when she got older, now i am just looking to not lose money.

My dealer repainted the hood at 36,000 miles for no charge. It was considered a warranty claim by Nissan.
At the time I counted over 150 chips on the hood and sides.
The repainted hood is now at 72,000 miles, NO CHIP S.

@capecodchips how did you get Nissan to repaint no charge? my dealership sent me to Nissan Corporate who stated is was not a defect, but an issue with "Nature"
