Hi all, first time poster here. Recently got an 05 coupe, put about 3k miles on it so far. I have noticed that the paint on my spoiler has started to chip and flake off So i took it into the dealer and they tell me that it was an aftermarket installation so it is not covered by warranty. He then gives me a quote of $350 to repaint the spoiler. Does that sound about right or should i take a look elsewhere? I have heard that Infiniti paint isn't of the highest quality.

Yeah, if you're going to get it repainted, find a shop that will match the paint with paint that's not from Nissan.

Welcome to NICO!!

What part of ATL? If your on the south side, take it to Heritage collision in Morrow. They fixed my door when it was keyed. Blended the Q panels and repainted my front bumper (lots of chips). The car looks great, paint matches perfectly and the bumper is still chip-free.

Being an after market spoiler I would try to match it up and see what new one already painted may cost you.

My spoiler for my other car cost $350 color matched to the car. I had it installed however that was only because I didn't feel like taking a drill to my trunk. I would have no problem replacing it however with another identical one. That may be the way to go unless you can get a cheap quote someplace for repainting.

Do you have anyone you know that has painted? In reality I would even consider doing so as a learning project since removing one should not be all that difficult, should be an easy prep job and so on. You could even practice on some other object first and then tackle the spoiler.
