paint can sound!!!

sounds like a spray can in the front of my engin like a marble or something rolling around at idle... any ideas? i heard something about this b4 but not sure!

nope... idles fine, its just there like front of valve cover or crank or something right up front

Timing chain hitting the timing cover.

Replace chain NOW.

the car you have listed in your profile is a Z33 but you posted this in the KA section.... I take it you have a 240 also??

Chain replacement not necessary IMHO. Just get those guides out and desludge/replace the tension. Very easy job. Make sure you have RTV and possible a new valve cover gasket. Search for tutorial. gl

ninja edit: deerrrr I assume you have a DOHC KA. For SOHC KA its a slightly different procedure.. search is your friend

Remove the valve cover than shine a light down along the chain. The guide on the drivers side should have a plastic rail on it. If it's gone then the chain is riding along the metal backing plate that used to hold the plastic guide.
