i just recently replaced pads and rotors all around in my s14. the rear passenger side pad is rubbing the rotor. this generates quite a bit of road noise. at first i thought the ebrake was to tight so i loosened the cable and still encountered the same probelm. i completly diconnected to ebrake just to see if it would help at all and it doesnt really help. could the calipers be bad? i just got them a few months ago, or could it be my lines?

pads are supposed to rub the rotors lol

anyways, did you check to make sure you aligned the bolts and everything properly and seated the pistons correctly? (remember, for the S14 at least, it's a clockwise seat, [or counter i forget which], you don't just push them in) bleed it?

Own3r i did seat the pistons correctly and adrian i did not use any silcone brake stuff. i will definetly try that. i guess my question is are the pads suppose to touch the rotor when the brake is not applied or is there a lil gap between the pad and rotor?

they shouldn't rub just driving down the road...make sure you fully retracted the piston because it self adjusts outwards as the pads wear

yea thats what im saying. they rub just driving w/o any pressure being applied to the brake pedal. i didnt think they were suppose to, at least they never did before. and yes i did turn the piston back all the way.

my only suggestion is taking it off and doing it again.

i did mine several months ago... i dont remember if the rears have that pin in the rears as well as the fronts. you could check that as well. also, make sure there's not an unusual amount of brake fluid all over.

don't 4get to make sure your slidingcaliper bolts are cleaned and relubed w/ some synthetic grease so they'll slide easier...
