Historic J is pleased to announce the introduction of our first Southern California event, Pacifico. Set at the iconic Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, attendees will be able to enjoy a day of Japanese classic cars right on the ocean with beautiful weather, great music, delicious food, and classic car shop vendors.
For our inaugural year at Pacifico, we have added three special guests to the event. Flying in from Japan, owner of Rocky Auto, Watanabe-san and owner of Star Road, Inoue-san will be in attendance acting as special judges for the car show portion of the event. Rocky Auto and Star Road will have booths where enthusiasts can get autographs and have a chance to meet and take photos with the masters themselves. Our third special guest is Mary from the Ken & Mary Skyline ad campaign who will be performing a meet & greet at her booth as well as answering questions for all of the Ken & Mary Skyline fans.
Cars registered for the event will be able to compete in nine categories judged by our special guests from Japan with trophies presented for winners of each category. Categories are: Best of Show, Best Modified, Best Restored, Best Original, Best Hachi Maru (80’s), Best Toyota, Best Mazda, Best Datsun/Nissan, and Best Other. Japanese classic car magazines will also be covering the event making this an awesome opportunity to get your classic car project possibly featured in Japan and reviewed in person by two of the top classic car shops from Japan!
Car registration is $35 and includes an exclusive special gift for registrants only. $10 for spectators who pre-order tickets and $12 at the gate. Event t-shirts, stickers, raffles, and goodies will be on hand throughout the day.
