Ok I planning on upgrading my exhaust. I was thinking on getting pacesetter headers and exhaust, and if the tone of the muffler is not loud enough for me I was planning on purchasing a Borla baby boomers muffler either rock-it or wail tail. What do you guys and gals think of this combo???

You might get a better responce out of the KA N/A section. I had a hotshot header a long time ago and liked it. Also what is your price range for an exhaust. Many people are happy with their BRM exhausts. I like my Apex'i N1 duals but its a little to loud to run on a N/A.

hotshot makes ka-e headers, but they're a bit expensive.

DC sports started to make units for the 240sx, unfortunately not for the KA-E yet. Hotshots are around 350-399 depending where you look, but they are the best available for the KA's, JWT makes some too, but i don't know for how much. They don't say on their site. Save your money up for something better, for close to the same price of the Pacesetter exhaust you can get a BRM cat-back, that's made better and they utilize magnaflow mufflers.

I have a Pacesetter header on my ka24de, sound is very throaty and screams past 4K...no noticeble power increase or anything. Doubt it will fit, but i will not need it in a few months since i am going turbo ka.....I have never heard of a pacesetter header cracking

My fiance has a borla boomer on her beretta and it sounds real good, plus they come with a million mile warranty so I don't think you can beat that. As far as the pacesetter header from reading on the boards it seems to be hit and miss on cracking. Some people have had no problems and others have. They're 1/2 the price as the hotshot so.........I dunno I might try one out.

My hotshot sounds awesome. All i have is injen intake and header. No exhaust. And my gives a roar almost reminiscent of a v6 or a domestic.

I have the hotshot header with BRM exhaust and high-flow cat on my SOHC. Nice pickup, but can't really say what the pick up on the header is alone though bc i installed it all at once. Let me inform(since you want it loud) you tho, even though the BRM is supposed to be quiet with a 22" resonator, the header makes the car FRIGGIN' loud! I can set off some alarms while parallel parking
