People say you get what you pay for, Pacesetter is cheap, and they don't even give you anything worth what they charge. I haven't ever heard anyone say anything good about them, but I've heard quite a lot about their crappy quality. You may wish to steer clear of anything made by them. Either save up a bit more, or have a muffler shop do the work for you. : ) Good Luck!

what kind of price range are you looking for??

I spent 90$ on my OBX N1 style w/ removeable silencer.and then $120 for the muffler shop to bend 2.5" pipe from the cat back, and install new hangers since my old ones were broken (I got rearended which demolished my factory exhaust and piping)

sorry my car was so filthy when i took this pic ><

Hey, I live in Southern California, and it only costs me $70 at the most to get custom piping all the way to the cat including installation of the muffler. Are those shops in Florida trying to rip you off?!?!

Just kidding.

this is an extremely old thread, but i wanted to bump it up for anyone who had questions on the pacesetter cat-back exhaust

i have it.it was a freebie. and you can't beat that :D

it sounds decent at low rpm but at 4k rpm (when the car reaches its powerband, rather) it sounds kind of raspy. but the car does pull "like a mofo" now.... (of course this is going from a clogged catalytic converter and stock exhaust to a brand new catco and the pacesetter). The pacesetter is actually identical to the stock exhaust in design-- except bigger piping--2+" and the absence of a resonator. it uses the stock hangers. i can only assume the raspyness comes from the quality of the muffler itself. It's a 3 yr old exhaust pulled off a crashed s13 and then put on a pignose s13 fastbask, and then bequeathed to me.. and surpringsly it's not rusting holes yet.

Anyhow-- I'm putting my pennies away for a much nicer exhaust. The infamous N1 or either the RS*R.

i felt as though as i should reply in case anyone is wondering about this particular exhaust.
