It allows you to utilize your steering wheel radio controls with an aftermarket radio (as long as the radio has a remote control)

From what I've seen, it looks like PAC is the manufacture and SWI-X stands for

STEERING WHEEL INTERFACE, and the X is the model. I found a SWI-PS which is for Pioneer and Sony. You can look at Autotoys web site.

I believe "X" is the generic interface and as stated above you can get Headunit specific models.
