So I got a PA200 code for bank 1 sensor 1 and bought NTK 25679 which wasn't a direct fit. My mechanic shaved off the outside plastic pieces of the harness connector (without damaging anything) and the code went away. Was getting horrible gas mileage which improved by alot but everything went back to the same in a day and the SES light came on again. I disconnected the battery to try and help the adaptation of the new sensor but the light came back on 4 days later (got bad gas mileage all those days). Now the light is on again and my mechanic checked it and I'm still getting the same code he said it's probably a faulty sensor. I've tried to look this problem up online but couldn't find a solution besides checking for an exhaust leak which I had my mechanic do and found nothing. Anyone have this problem or any suggestions? I also read that you need to replace another sensor when replacing bank 1 sensor 1 is there any truth to that? All help/suggestions appreciated thanks!
