So i went to the show, which was as expected, amazing. This party venue was filled wit spectacular automobils. I saw the new Porsche Cayenne, which is one fast f^kn suv (0-60 in 5.9). i seen the new chevey SSS. It's the car/truck that is replacing the camero's. those things are also fast 300+hp (look like were going to have to step it up abit wit performance) Cadillac has a sports car that is going into produciton shortly, i think it was called the Cadillac SXR, SLR, or SLX. Ford also stepped it up abit wit the Ford Mustang mach1. Aslo in affect was a silver Lancer Evo VII (the first car that we seen.) The damn thing comes wit 17" enkie tires wrapped in Yokham wheels. The seats look to be Sparcos, the car was on display. Then we seen some hocked up V6 tiburon wit carbon fiber body, wing, and hood, turbo and nitros and a whole lot of other things. We also seen some Lexus wit a 14 speaker tv and dvd player and teh Lexus from Minority Report. There was also the Murceilago, Modena champions addition, Austion MArtin Vanquesh, Chrysler Crossfire and the list goes on and on. After the show me and my boy went to get some korean foon in china town. Wile at the resturant i am introduced to a HIN flyer. I read teh flyer and it is giong to be held at the PA convension center and at the bottom of the flyer, I seen the price $25. Im like $25! F^CK that. Im not going to spend $25 to a see f^ckn civic when i just payed $10 to see Lambo's, Ferrari's, and did i menchen the batmobile?! SO I just decieded to bring this to you guys attention. So am i considered cheap for ******n about $25 for something that you see everyday or just someone that think spending $25 is overpriced to see something that you see everyday?

I heard a rumor that they (GM) were going to make one more camaro in a few years that would be like a '68 in appearance. Yes, No?

Philadelphia must have been the last major city to get that show. Those cars were all introduced many months ago. I remember seeing a show on the speed channel about the Porsche SUV over 4 months ago. I read about the Cadillac sports car(not much of a looker at that) in Road&Track last July/August?....The Chevy SSS sounds pretty cool though, in spite of my hatred toward %90 of Chevies produced these days. So, how was the Korean food?

I wasn't puttin you down. I was just saying how disappointed you must have been to see all of those butt ugly cars. The styles are getting worse year after year. I would have to say it all started with Honda. The 99 and up Civics. The attempt to make Accords look like NSX's. Then it moved on to Ford with the Focus(enough said). All of this and more brought us to Porsche trying too hard, and Cadillac not wanting to be left out.

Edit: I almost forgot the most important ingredient. You say you want a Dodge Viper? Nah, those are too pricey, so why not just get a SRT-4? Looks just as bad, and holds up to 6 people!!

i wasn't disappointed at all the show was good. im not going to deny that at all. and the vipers are not bad looking cars mabe to you but uhh not to me tough guy. and why should i buy a $hitty srt-4 that comes wit 223hp, looks hidious, and is labled neon, compared to a 600hp, great looking, more respected racing car. lets put it this way, if you pulled up next to one, would you race it?

Ah, i went to the Philly Auto Show last night, and i felt disappointed. Nothing really new, except the Evo 8, ( i kind of skipped over the whole GM/Daimler Chrysler section, it was better last year when they had the Concept Viper GT-S-R)

The same Subaru SccaProRally car, (just black headlight housings this time around), BMW didn't even have the M5 this year, but they had the 7 and Z4(roadsters...eww, don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but it's a roadster) . No Mazda RX-8, the 6 is very nice, no fanfare for the Mazdaspeed Protege. What cracked me up about the Evo 8 was that they had no signs, no distinction about the car. What was on the rotating pedestal you ask? Their new SUV. *shudder*

I was surprised that was a Ferrari/Maserati booth, as in last year the only Ferrari's shown were privately owned. The 360GT race car rocked. The Porsche's were nice. The Cayenne.........Porsche sold their soul to the SUV, oh well, they need the money i guess.

The NSX was from last year, Z i already saw at a dealer (and a track model at that), Murcielago from last year, at least they had the new Aston Martin Vanquish and G35 coupe which was very nice.

all in all, i didn't use all 4 rolls of my film this time. Hmmm.

ps. did you see the dodge ram truck ballon w/ propellers that flew over the Dodge section? that was cool. :D

i skipped last year. i go like every other year or every three years so that i wouldn't play out the new car scene. i was all about the gts-r sh1t im so pissed i missed it. hmm porshce lossing money, not likely, more like porsche trying to take over the road...i wouldn't be amazed if they brought out a truck...yeah the gt was amazing and i had a chance to sit in the g35...the damn seat automaticly adjusted to my height i was impressed.

Dude chill, its not like I was talking about your mom right? I'm sure its within your capability to spell them right, it wasn't meant to offend you, just that I've never heard of Yokham or enkie......:)

I went yesterday to the Philly show. Philly doesn't get the big intro's that Detroit gets but there were LOTS of interesting cars there, mostly dealer supplied. I'll save you the $10 admission and $25 parking and list a few highlights.

Nissan had 3-350z's to climb into. Ford: had an original GT40 on display, plus the "49?" prototype. also had a new T-Bird to climb intoBuick: had the original LeSabre prototype from the early fifties. the only interesting vehicle they hadAudi: had a new A8 and RS6 on displayCadillac: XLR rakish convertible, not bad, acres o' gimmicks, cute spokesmodel plus last years bubble shaped prototype monstrosityChevy had the SST next generation El Camino on display, plus 2 vettes to climb into.Ferrari: same as last year except they had the Rolex series 33 car on display, plus 2 Maseratis, but all roped off.Lambo/Aston Martin/ Bentley all exactly the same as last year and roped all off.Chryler had a Crossfire (looks better in pictures than in person)and yet another ugly prototype next generation jeep wrangler.Subaru: had last years rally car on display, but you couldn't get close to itGM: Had an H2 to climb into and a locked H1 next to itPontiac roped off the new Grand Prix, which no one noticed. They're finally getting away from all the awful cladding.BMW: M3 is still awesome but the Z4 looks overstyled.Acura: same old NSX roped off. (yawn)Mercury: had a Marauder to climb into. Yep, it's a blacked out inside and out Grand Marquis with 2 extra guages down in the console, and now it's a performance car. Dumb.Porsche only let you climb into one car - the Cayenne. Not impressed. The old cars were interesting. Several vette's, some Triumphs, an Aston Martin DB2 convertible, a former Elvis Mercedes 600 limo.the car was nice, but who cared that Elvis farted in the upholstery a couple times, some old midget sprint cars, a mishmosh of prewar cars, a 62 Ferrari and a old Alfa. The biggest crowds when I was there were at the H2, 350z, and Minis displays.
