Hey all,

I believe the p2a00 is for the oxygen sensor? could anyone tell me what exactly I need to purchase, and which particular one it is?

Also, stupid me, I purchased this car without checking the AC because I just got the vehicle during this winter, but the AC doesn't seem to be on. I went to settings and it did say AC ON, I assume there could be many things wrong for the AC. My blower fan is making noise, but I would think this is a separate issue...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Close - That's your code for an AFR sensor.

Causes:
Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 harness is open or shorted or has poor electrical connection
Fuel pressure problem
Fuel injector problem
Intake air leaks

Basically, you have a lean condition on bank 1.

Let's get that traced and taken care of first - but it's unrelated to your AC functioning.

Thank you!

Is this a sensor i could buy at the dealership and replace to fix?

Or it could be a problem with among the list of items you listed.

Also any idea why the A/C wouldn't be working?

Many Thanks
Andy

Don't quote me on this, but isn't 'AFR sensor' another word for "Oxygen sensor"? I know I've listed out the oxygen sensors by part number in another thread here...take a search through the forum and it should come up. If I'm correct, yes, you can buy it at the dealer but you're better of buying it online and bringing it to the dealer if you can't swap it yourself.

As for the AC...as AZ said lets tackle one issue at a time but it could be your heater core, blower motor, etc.

No cold air but hot air might just be an AC system needing to be recharged/re-pressurized or whatever.

Thanks everyone, everything is fixed. AC needed to re charged like you said.

They reset the code, and cleaned the throttle body, and check engine light never came back

Thanks for the help!
