What kind of warranty do you have. It should be covered under most.

Your best bet would be to call the warranty company and see if engine control devices are covered.

If not I think the repair is <$500 or maybe close to it, you can most likely get one aftermarket but I would strongly advise against that.

why would an 04 sedan need a new throttle chamber?this seems strange.could it be related to his recent blox spacer install by any chance?

Nope it just happens, no reasoning behind it they just fail sometimes.

It is not by any means time to start complaining about a recall, or bitching at the dealer, it's just one of the downsides of having a drive by wire system where the TPS is no longer serviceable.

If you add more air without more fuel you will have a perpetual lean code. I have not looked into oversized throttle assemblies for the G I will take a look at it and let you know what I see.

i cleared the code last night, and the car seems to be working fine. if i take it to the dealership they will say y did u take out the code, so im gona wait and see if the code comes back and then i will take it. other than that my cars doesnt seem to be having problem. this light came on, after i floored it on the a turn, so it could be temporary as well.

That may resolve it maybe it was an issue with the WOT position relevance. Just make sure to perform the idle volume learning again.

Good Luck.

i tried the idle volume learning, but it didnot work.Throttle Valve Closed Position LearningOperation Procedures1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.2. Turn ignition switch is “ON”.3. Turn ignition switch is “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds byconfirming the operating sound.

I dont get the last sentence. so i switch it on, and then immediately switch it off, and what do i make sure about? afte this should i also reset the ECU

in the honda world, with simple basic mods, i would ad an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. does this apply to the VQ?

I will have to consult my honda buddy on this to figure out what the differences are. However the G runs a returnless fuel pump system and a new pump as well as tubing are required to change that. The fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel pump assembly, I do not know if there are products to "fix" this put it sounds like a significant financial investment for marginal gains.

so basically a reflash like technosquare is the option for increased fuel.

I would think altering the fuel map and pulse duration would provide the increased fuel volume, timing will also need to be adjusted and valve advancement would have to be changed to optomize performance. I know there are piggy backs and ecu reflashes available. I really don't know if just having a spacer and larger bore throttle would warrant the cost of one of those.

This is not really much of my field I do not know the products that actually work. Maybe Greg could drop some knowledge on this thread.

Hey Steve. the code p2135 came back on today. i am going to the dealership tommorow, but im thinking that they are going to blame the blox spacer, and z tube and pop charger for it. Should i atleast take out the spacer? If not, what valid points should i bring up if the service guys tell me i have a get a new throttle body which is like 700 bucks. i have warranty and have around 64k on my car. thanks for your help.
