Ok I've exhausted every search, book, etc to find a direct answer for my "small leak" issue. I've checked all my lines for the evap system andthe seem fine. Box seems fine too.. Looking for input/tips. Thinking ill try replacing the gas cap first. Sorry for bein very short. I'm just overly frustrated with the situation I'm in

Welcome to NICO!

There are many possible causes for P1440. It is best to start by replacing the gas cap with a new OEM one. If that does not resolve the code, try following the diagnosis procedure that is described on page EC-400 of the factory service manual from step 8 and onward as best as you can.

trying to make heads or tails of that manual. Canister and purge valve seem ok. As far as I can tell the hoses are ok too. Haven't tried smoke test or use the leak detector shown in the Manuel
