P1320 Code "ignition control signal fault" 2000 I30

About a month ago, I added a can of dry gas/ fuel injector cleaner into the tank due to the frigid weather. Within a couple days, the engine ran rough for about 2 miles, but then cleared up. No "service engine soon light" at that time. Car ran fine for about a week. About a week later same thing occured, except "service engine soon" light came on. Engine has been running fine since then (3 weeks), but light remained on. Today I did a OBD scan which told me "No pending codes to report" and "one stored trouble code TC1- P1320"

Could thishave been caused by the dry gas/ fuel injector cleaner? Thanks.John

I don't believe that the cleaner could cause that code, sounds like a seperate issue. Maybe an ignition switch or something.

Hello, have you had anymore problems with the p1320 code

It has been awhile, but I am having this problem again. About one month ago I had the alternator replaced (and the battery which "was fried" acording to the mechanic. In ran Ok - a little rough for the first 10 seconds no service codes until today. Running rough for about 3 miles . Service codes are P1320 and P0303.

Trying to find out what needs to be replaced. So far No luckAny thoughs or guidance would be appreciated.

doesn't P0303 mean misfire on coil 3? if its p0305 it means misfire on coil 5. so maybe just coil 3 is bad and needs to be replaced. my 98 i30 had same problem ie., p1320 few months ago. i replaced all 6 coils though.
