Hey fellas

Here is the jist: I have megan test pipes, so I've installed extra non-foulers not to get O2 errors. Few days ago because one of the non-fouler elbows after some time sagged too much down, when getting into a bay for an oil change my left bank O2 sensor (downstream) was smashed right off.
So here is the dilemma, since then of course I've got 6 errors all connected with O2 sensors all around. I have installed correct downstream O2 sensor (Left bank NGK 24404), did ODBII reset and now I have only two but persistent closed loop errors (p1148 and p1168) on both banks.

Questions:

Do we have an O2 sensor fuse? If we do, which one is it? (there are 3 fuse boxes in 2006 M35)
If we do not have O2 sensor fuse, could smashing of one of the O2 sensor have caused all other O2 sensors to fry/mulfunction?
If I do hard ECU reset through peddle dance (clearing through ODBII doesn't work) will it reset and get rid of this issue?
Does rainbow really taste like skittles?

Any wisdom is highly appreciated :yesnod

You should be able to find the fuse labels and descriptions in the FSM, in my signature (FAQ). That might help answer your other questions.

Was the wiring smashed with the sensor? Maybe an open wire, if so.

Wiring was smashed at the edge of the left bank O2 sensor, since then I've substituted with the new O2 sensor and all of the wiring seems to be fine. I'll check again over weekend and if I do not find any missed wire damage, does that mean one of the O2 sensors being shorted just killed two A/F sensors? :tisk:

Hey Fellas
I've just changed my A/F sensors with NGK 24320 and it fit like a glove. However my P1148 and P1168 do still reappear. Engine runs smoothly and I care about this only to pass smog. Kinetix HFC are coming soon, so Megan test pipes out, HFCs in.
Should I just drive around and it will go away? Can it really be that harness went bad after the short? My engine is running fine. After short 2 upstream and left downstream are all new, right downstream was changed prior shorting but very recently and is not throwing any codes. I have cleared codes through ODBII reader and did ECU tap dance reset and errors still showed up. I'm confused

SOLVED: Thanks to this post I have finally got rid of all the errors. post6753541.html#p6724545

I have read before about multiple fuse boxes and thought that two fuse boxes in front and to the side of the battery (plus one at driver's footwell) were all of them. Not until I have realized that I gotta take the battery out I've found that 15amp fuse (#85, fifth on the right from the top) that gave me all the trouble. I didn't go through FSM as closely as I could and overal had hard time finding any solid info whether M35 had an O2 sensor fuse. Answer - Yes it does. Now I have all new sensors I guess

Thanks for the follow up. That fusebox behind the battery is the IPDM btw.
I'll update the title
