I've had my 2001 Pathfinder LE 3.5 for approx 8 months now. I've never had a problem with the car and take it to the dealer for routine maintenance work. However, I just took the car on it's first long road trip 1300 miles each way and on the first leg of the trip after getting gas and driving for 14 hours, the "service engine soon light" came on. I continued to drive the car to my destination (approx 600 miles) and also did several short day trips for approx 3 days. The light stayed on and I took the car to Pep Boys for a diagnostic. The code p1135 came back. Everything else was good. The next day I drove the car and suddenly the SES light went out, and stayed out for approx 5 days and 800 miles later. Then after driving for another 900 miles or so the light came back on and stayed on.
I'd like to know what this code/sensor is and how it can effect the vehicle. Also what is the usual cost for fixing this problem and should a dealer do it?
