Has anyone ever encountered such code on a maxima before?
I have an 04 maxima, in which i recently swapped the engine in and also did the timing tensioner job.
The car runs fine, but this code keeps coming back every time i start the car after it has been warmed up.
Ive tried different camshaft and crankshaft sensor, different VTC solenoid which Ive tested to be good. Ive also checked the harness for any shorts and it supplies 12V when the ignition is ON.

I'm running out of ideas here, the car drives and runs fine, i highly doubt this has anything to do with the timing chain or that i did the chain job wrong, because Ive aligned everything as stated in the FSM.

IS going to the dealer and hooking up the car to consult my only way out?

Have you gone to the manufacture's website of your OBD tool? They often have a place where you can type in your code and it will give you the description.

I already know what is the issue, i simply looking for people who ran into this problem on a maxima before.

I had that on my 04 Maxima. Was it O2 sensor or cam sensor? Went into safe mode.
