P0740 transmission solenoid -2002 xterra

Hi.. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the transmission solenoid. My 2002 Xterra service engine soon light is on and the dealer says it's the trans torque converter solenoid.
I've read if I drop the oil pan it should be there, is this correct?

Also wondering if there is a transmission filter in this truck, thinking I might as well do a transmission service. Any help would be great .
