Well I just did the diagnostic reading of my car to see why the check engine light was on (95 240) an it came up under "powertrain", with code P0705, which according to the book means "Transmission Range Sensory Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input). My first question...are the book codes the same codes for 95 240's? If not, could someone show me a sight that does show the codes for a 95 240? Second, what the hell is a transmission range sonsory circuit malfunction? How bad is it for my car? What would I do to fix it/how much would it cost, and is it okay for me to continue driving it? I noticed my car is idling a little differently ever since the check engine light came on (yesterday night), as in sometimes it idles to low, sometimes a bit too high, and then sometimes it fluctuates...not very often tho, it usually stays right at 750 rpm. Any idea what I should do? If it helps at all, the check engine light came on about 10 minutes after I took a second gear turn, revved my car up to 5k through 2nd, third, and fourth gear....it has 91k miles on it. ThanksMARC
