Hi Friends. It has been a while since I have made an appearance on this forum. Many of my initial posts were regarding mods and such. Now, with 135k on my G35, I am in longevity mode and have been doing a lot of work to her to maintain, repair and etc.

I have been getting a intermittent P0455 DTC code. I can clear the code and it will stay gone for a while, but always comes back. I have read and read, searched this forum and others and cannot find exactly what I am looking for. This will pertain to my 2008 G35 RWD non-sport auto.

My first guess is going to be to check the evap purge valve to make sure it is not stuck open/shut. I can get a new valve for like $40 so other than the gas cap, which I have already replaced, that is my next option. Can someone please tell me where the evap canister is located? More specifically than passenger rear of vehicle. What is it near? What needs to be removed to gain access? Any tips are appreciated.

TIA,

Tom

and just because it has been a long time since i posted here, i will go ahead and use my favorite emoji so i can get that out of the way and be serious. :wtf2:

Hi Tom

The best place to look is in the FSM which you can get from http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/infini ... nuals.html

The code description and such is in EC.pdf on page 310. Hope that helps.

Thx Audtatious. I have all the FSMs but I could not locate any specific information on where the canister is located. Everyone tells me passenger rear behind the tire, but all that is there is the muffler. I just want to know if I need to remove the wheel well liner or the muffler to get to it.

The canister is in the middle of the back end, see page EC-76.

it's worth a try. I'm sure there are some tests that can be performed to see if the valve is working properly or not. You will have to dig through the FSM to find it tho.
