P0400 CEL code for Nissa Sentra 1997

Hi there,

I have a check engine light code P0400 on for Nissan Sentra 1997. Initial code reader diagnosis has suggested carbon/soot in the Exhaust gas circulation or maybe a faulty gasket.

I have referred the Service manual for Nissan and have the exhaust gas recirculation layout with me. However, I can't figure out where is the actual gasket that leads to the EGR tubes in the front. If anyone can please suggest where it will be in Sentra or what should be the ideal place to look and clean up this error, that will be very helpful.

EGR tube runs from the side of the exhaust manifold back around to the back of the intake mani. Buildup is probably at one of the ends.
