Tried to purchase a camshaft positioning sensor for my '98 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4. The auto parts store say this unit does not exist for my vehicle. Is there some other sensor unit that needs to be considered. What else could be causing this code? Battery was pulled and tested (fully charged)

Truck stop running while driving
wont start
battery fully charged
Wiring and connection all good (visibly)

What next.

The camshaft sensor is built into the distributor and is not serviceable. You will have to purchase a distributor assembly.

Its probably going to end up being the distributor thats bad. The cam sensor is built into the distributor and cannot be serviced separatly. Download the FSM from the truck forums and check all your wires, connections, and timing to be sure. I went through this last year with a 99 frontier v6. It ended up being the distributor, but since they cost between $200-$400 its good to be sure before spending the money.
