My son recently got a P0327 code with no CEL and running fine (no pinging). It shows as both a pending and a fault code so I don't think it is going away, but no engine light yet. Anyone have any experience with this? We just thoroughly cleaned the engine compartment, including near where this sensor is located so not sure if water might have affected it. Looks like some have had a problem with the connectors & wire. Is it correct that the sensor should show no resistance with a multi-meter? I'll try to get under there this weekend to see what it shows. Thanks.

Chances are the wiring harness has a break in it somewhere and will probably need to be replaced. This is the harness that runs from the sensor to the connector along the rear of the engine bay- it's probably around 18" long. The code you're getting won't trigger a CEL. I don't see much downside to just leaving it be.

Yeah, was reading that many have had a problem with the wiring but it turned out to be the sensor. I picked up a sensor from a Murano 3.5 at LQK for $5* (same part #). Was looking all over for where the harness comes out from the plenum, turns out it is in the front of the VQ35, not the back. The running voltage to gnd on the new sensor is 2.6v and the old is just .5v. For now I've got the new sensor bolted to the top of the intake and will probably just run it that way for awhile rather than do all the work. Runs good and no codes so far. We're due for a smog check next month, so hope it stays that way.

* "discounted" Nissan part price is $225 for this sensor! Aftermarket is >$40. I can't say it enough, stay away from the dealers.
