So this is the next post in the odyssey - I have repaired the ECM, IAC and SECU on my 2002 Pathfinder. Get in today and now I have the P0302 code - I have read that it should be coil packs or possibly spark plugs to fix the engine misfire on #2. I am just wondering if this code would come up with needing to have the idle relearned? Also, could it be as simple as replacing the spark plugs??

Have read some posts that discuss the damage with blinking SES light, so I will not drive it until I get this fixed.

I am just wondering when the bleeding / time will stop?!

First check the wiring to #2. Then swap the #2 coil back with any of the others but #1 (#1 is different from the other five) and see if the bug moves.

#2 is the front cylinder on the US driver's side.

Chuck - Thanks for the help. It turned out that a new Nissan spark plug in #2 cleared up the issue (or could be coincidence that I messed with the wiring?!) Either way - new plug is in so no more blinking check engine light with P0302.

On to the next code / search.

Thanks again.

If you mean the coil pack, then no, I did not replace that. However, after reading on lots of these forums about the P0302, it could be the coil pack or the spark plug. I did not see a 'seal' though....

Willy thank you for your reply. the reason I asked because my old spark plug in cylinder#2 seems very loose, it could be not fully tightened from last spark plugs change or it got loose after few years engine operated.
