I took it to nissan they qouted me

t-stat- $180Rad - $830and $505 labor

so i brought it home. i took out the rad and the T-stat and waiting for my parts to come in tomorrow.

im getting the rad for $250 and i bought a T-stat for $40 but it was wrong so im gonna take it back to partsource and make sure the rad is right also. Might go to Napa if the parts are wack

replaced thermostat and rad, but im still getting the the p0217 code and still stuttering at 2000 rpm. i think its the ECT sensor becuase on the manual it says that "when this malfunction is detected, the ecm enters fail-safe mode"

this would explain my 2000 rpm stuttering, the ECM wont allow me to do more than 2000 rpm in fear of overheating.

Now i found the harness for the sensor but the sensor seems very difficult to access anyone know anything that can help?

Sucks that you had to drop $300 on parts you probably didn't need, but now you know those are at least new.

Sorry, cant' help you on the ECT sensor. What does ECT stand for? I'm thinking "Engine ???? Temp".
